Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dónal McGlenn started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keefe McTommy during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kevinn Gillmour took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Blathma Holt. Greeve AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beckett Ramsey during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Beckett Ramsey hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Bresal Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bresal Ferguson in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blathma Holt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baine Cooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tobin Caffrey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dónal McGlenn in the 29th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dónal McGlenn in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobin Caffrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Brickeen McVictor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Baine Cooney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornabrogue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baine Cooney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blathma Holt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baine Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Tobin Caffrey made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Brickeen McVictor sent off a good shot on target. Dónal McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobin Caffrey having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bresal Ferguson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Baine Cooney got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dónal McGlenn struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Tobin Caffrey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greeve AFC. If Dónal McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baine Cooney struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. After 60 played minutes Greeve AFC got a freekick which was hit by Beckett Ramsey. Tobin Caffrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dónal McGlenn in the 74th minute of the match. Brickeen McVictor took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobin Caffrey. Tobin Caffrey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tobin Caffrey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dónal McGlenn's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 95th minute Bresal Ferguson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathma Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blathma Holt was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and Bresal Ferguson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bresal Ferguson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cornabrogue eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
