The Greeve AFC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Greeve AFC's Brickeen McVictor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Greeve AFC's Blathma Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brannon McLaughlin in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Dónal McGlenn's late challenge caught a Tullagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dónal McGlenn helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Greeve AFC's Dónal McGlenn got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Brannon McLaughlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brickeen McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hewney Palmer having to interfere. Hewney Palmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brickeen McVictor in the 60th minute. Beachain Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Bourns McPeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Torna Doyle sped through Greeve AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Blathma Holt. In the 69th match minute, Greeve AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keefe McTommy to maneuver through the defense. Dónal McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brickeen McVictor might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hewney Palmer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brickeen McVictor ran back to his position shaking his head. Blathma Holt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torna Doyle in the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Beachain Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greeve AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beachain Jameson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brickeen McVictor got free with Hewney Palmer in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brickeen McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hewney Palmer having to interfere. Dónal McGlenn received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hewney Palmer came out and tried to block the shot, but Dónal McGlenn slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Greeve AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
