Geary Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philib McJon having to interfere. Beartlai Kirby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bhrighde McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Beartlai Kirby was a little too slow when Iarla Rutherford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience was convinced that George McCollion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philib McJon was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. George McCollion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philib McJon having to interfere. Philib McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banban Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Ballytrasna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Torin Dempsey. Geary Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Philib McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beartlai Kirby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iarla Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Ballytrasna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when George McCollion came free, but Philib McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iarla Rutherford kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Iarla Rutherford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Beartlai Kirby made a huge save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George McCollion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geary Coyle in the 52nd minute of play forced Ballytrasna AFC's goalkeeper Philib McJon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, George McCollion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, George McCollion lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Philib McJon. When Ballybryan FC's George McCollion in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Geary Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George McCollion in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philib McJon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 81 in the game by George McCollion from a close distance when the talented Philib McJon managed to make a qualified save. Ballytrasna AFC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Geary Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballybryan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geary Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philib McJon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George McCollion didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-3 via right post in the game's 86th minute. Ballybryan FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After a defensive mix-up in Ballytrasna AFC's zone, George McCollion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philib McJon came out of the goal and George McCollion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George McCollion who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Philib McJon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Ballytrasna AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ballybryan FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
