The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keefe McTommy during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Greeve AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Keefe McTommy hit a great ball. If Baoithin McJohnny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Donn Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathma Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hayes Sheridan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dónal McGlenn in the 9th minute of play. Baoithin McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 11 minutes, Shea McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnadarrig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shea McFrancise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donn Gough in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blathma Holt saved Greeve AFC from getting behind. Blathma Holt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baoithin McJohnny's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Baoithin McJohnny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blathma Holt was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 18th minute, Baoithin McJohnny ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blathma Holt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hayes Sheridan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dónal McGlenn in the 25th minute of the match. If Shea McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hayes Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dónal McGlenn, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Hayes Sheridan made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Keefe McTommy sent off a good shot on target. Hayes Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dónal McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Greeve AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barnadarrig were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donn Gough to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Donn Gough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Greeve AFC's Blathma Holt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brion Dillon kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hayes Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brickeen McVictor, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Blathma Holt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Beachain Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayes Sheridan having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Barnadarrig got a freekick which was hit by Shea McFrancise. Hayes Sheridan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dónal McGlenn's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 83 played minutes Barnadarrig got a freekick which was hit by Phillip McGlenn. Brickeen McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Barnadarrig's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dónal McGlenn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 94 minutes into the match, Barnadarrig's goal looked a bit too open when Brickeen McVictor came free, but Hayes Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Barnadarrig players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
