Baoithin McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Carrigart FC booed when Barnadarrig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brion Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barnadarrig's Hayes Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremiah McLian in the 11th minute of play. If Donn Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Brenden Cronin managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Barnadarrig's Baoithin McJohnny fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 20 minutes, Donn Gough made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carrigart FC's Brenden Cronin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Carrigart FC booed when Barnadarrig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hayes Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremiah McLian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brenden Cronin came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Barnadarrig's Baoithin McJohnny. But to his dismay, Baoithin McJohnny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 36 played minutes Barnadarrig got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Rogers. 38 minutes into the match, Barnadarrig's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McLian came free, but Hayes Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Johnson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Lawrence Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayes Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bardon Rogers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Barnadarrig got a freekick which was hit by Donn Gough. Hayes Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bardon Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Jeremiah McLian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Austin Prunty kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Carrigart FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Lawrence Barrett hit a great ball. Shea McFrancise might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brenden Cronin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shea McFrancise ran back to his position shaking his head. Conaill Cooney hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Austin Prunty came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Barnadarrig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austin Prunty couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Carrigart FC's zone, Baoithin McJohnny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenden Cronin came out of the goal and Baoithin McJohnny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Phillip McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Austin Prunty kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of Carrigart FC booed when Barnadarrig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donn Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Barnadarrig's Shea McFrancise got a free kick in the 89th minute. Hayes Sheridan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremiah McLian in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barnadarrig fully deserved thier win.
