An unexpectedly hard shot by Beara Moran in the 7th minute of play forced Greeve AFC's goalkeeper Blathma Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dónal McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Herich McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Derrymullan's goal looked a bit too open when Dónal McGlenn came free, but Herich McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beara Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dawayne Byrne got free with Blathma Holt in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Derrymullan's zone, Dónal McGlenn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herich McNamara came out of the goal and Dónal McGlenn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brickeen McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herich McNamara having to interfere. Dónal McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Herich McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Derrymullan's goal looked a bit too open when Brickeen McVictor came free, but Herich McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Dawayne Byrne sped through Greeve AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Blathma Holt. After a defensive mix-up in Greeve AFC's zone, Dawayne Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blathma Holt came out of the goal and Dawayne Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beara Moran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Dónal McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greeve AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dónal McGlenn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blathma Holt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dawayne Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Herich McNamara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dónal McGlenn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 60 minute of play. When Dónal McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Greeve AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dónal McGlenn couldn't finish the play. Brickeen McVictor succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 75th playminute. In the 78thth minute of the game Dónal McGlenn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derrymullan's Herich McNamara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th match minute, Derrymullan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raonall Palmer to maneuver through the defense. Brickeen McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Derrymullan got a freekick which was hit by Becc McLian. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brickeen McVictor got free with Herich McNamara in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Greeve AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Boyd Perth in the 95th minute. After taking down the ball on Greeve AFC's corner Boyd Perth fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Herich McNamara quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Greeve AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
