Boethis Cooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Boethis Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George McCollion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boethis Cooney having to make a save. Dinny McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boethis Cooney having to interfere. George McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Boethis Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Banban Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexander Hutton hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ballybryan FC's Geary Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beartlai Kirby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beiti Glen Crowe in the 32nd minute of the match. Boethis Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George McCollion in the 35th minute of play. Boethis Cooney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geary Coyle's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George McCollion in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boethis Cooney saved Rahans FC from getting behind. George McCollion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boethis Cooney having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by George McCollion in the 45th minute of play forced Rahans FC's goalkeeper Boethis Cooney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George McCollion in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boethis Cooney saved Rahans FC from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George McCollion was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ballybryan FC's Geary Coyle got a free kick in the 51st minute. If George McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rahans FC's goalkeeper Boethis Cooney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, one of Ballybryan FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ryan McOliver might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beartlai Kirby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan McOliver ran back to his position shaking his head. Ballybryan FC's George McCollion got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ailín Horgan in the 95th minute of play forced Ballybryan FC's goalkeeper Beartlai Kirby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geary Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, Rahans FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ballybryan FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
