Baine Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Tullagh got a freekick which was hit by Brant Bayes. 16 minutes into the match, Tullagh's goal looked a bit too open when Baine Cooney came free, but Hewney Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hewney Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baine Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bresal Ferguson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hewney Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baine Cooney in the 25th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Bresal Ferguson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tullagh's Hewney Palmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Torna Doyle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tullagh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tullagh's Hewney Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baine Cooney in the 35th minute of play. Bresal Ferguson struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Hewney Palmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornabrogue. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bresal Ferguson in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hewney Palmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hewney Palmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baine Cooney's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bresal Ferguson made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Tullagh's Bourns McPeter got a free kick in the 58th minute. A hard shot by Kevinn Gillmour from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Hewney Palmer's attention. Torna Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobin Caffrey having to interfere. Baine Cooney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Hewney Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Torna Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brannon McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobin Caffrey having to interfere.
