After a defensive mix-up in Rahans FC's zone, Henry McPeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boethis Cooney came out of the goal and Henry McPeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boethis Cooney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donell MaCollin in the 12th minute. Declan McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Henry McPeter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boethis Cooney. Rahans FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henry McPeter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Declan McJames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Boethis Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cashel McCready during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Ryan McOliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Henry McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonlumny's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry McPeter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boethis Cooney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry McPeter in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Boethis Cooney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donell MaCollin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boethis Cooney having to make a save. Boethis Cooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barclay McFrank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendann Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Henry McPeter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boethis Cooney was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beiti Glen Crowe made a kick off. Henry McPeter struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Boethis Cooney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloonlumny. Barclay McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Boethis Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rahans FC booed when Cloonlumny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donell MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Henry McPeter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barclay McFrank's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boethis Cooney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Rahans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Declan McJames came free, but Boethis Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavin Harkin came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Rahans FC's Ryan McOliver. But to his dismay, Ryan McOliver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 71st minute Beiti Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavin Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Cloonlumny defense, Ryan McOliver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavin Harkin. The Cloonlumny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavin Harkin should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Rahans FC's Ailín Horgan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Beiti Glen Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Barclay McFrank ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boethis Cooney was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Declan McJames might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boethis Cooney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cloonlumny fully deserved thier win.
