Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bresal Ferguson kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Cornabrogue's goal looked a bit too open when Dawayne Byrne came free, but Tobin Caffrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Cornabrogue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevinn Gillmour to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Derrymullan's goal looked a bit too open when Bresal Ferguson came free, but Herich McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dawayne Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bresal Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bresal Ferguson in the 21st minute of play forced Derrymullan's goalkeeper Herich McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Becc McLian kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Herich McNamara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bresal Ferguson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baine Cooney's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Herich McNamara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Raonall Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Becc McLian charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Becc McLian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Becc McLian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herich McNamara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baine Cooney in the 41st minute. Herich McNamara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bresal Ferguson's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Beara Moran made the kick off in the second half. When Dawayne Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Derrymullan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dawayne Byrne couldn't finish the play. After 52 played minutes Cornabrogue got a freekick which was hit by Kevinn Gillmour. After a rather tough play, Cornabrogue's Rollan Brennan got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Barrie Murphy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobin Caffrey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Baine Cooney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herich McNamara having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Dawayne Byrne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Derrymullan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 77thth minute of the game Beara Moran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cornabrogue's Tobin Caffrey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dawayne Byrne during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cornabrogue booed when Derrymullan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawayne Byrne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barrie Murphy's late challenge caught a Cornabrogue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barrie Murphy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Derrymullan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Murphy to maneuver through the defense. Kevinn Gillmour struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Herich McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornabrogue. Bresal Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herich McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baine Cooney in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88thth minute of the game Bresal Ferguson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derrymullan's Herich McNamara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Beara Moran fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Herich McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bresal Ferguson in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Cornabrogue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rollan Brennan to maneuver through the defense. Beara Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Derrymullan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
