After a defensive mix-up in Ballylusk's zone, Ryan McOliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patton McCollion came out of the goal and Ryan McOliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Baolach Horgan fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rahans FC's protests and gave Baolach Horgan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ballylusk booed when Rahans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baolach Horgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Rahans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Braeden Ghee came free, but Boethis Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Braeden Ghee 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boethis Cooney was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Beiti Glen Crowe might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patton McCollion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beiti Glen Crowe ran back to his position shaking his head. Braeden Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Boethis Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradaigh Gollogley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Bradaigh Gollogley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boethis Cooney was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rahans FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rourke Mulvihill was slow to take the kick. During this time Ballylusk's players had a chance to rest. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beiti Glen Crowe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Beiti Glen Crowe notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ballylusk's Patton McCollion. Patton McCollion was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Beiti Glen Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rahans FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beiti Glen Crowe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patton McCollion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peyton McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ailín Horgan charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ailín Horgan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Rahans FC got a freekick which was hit by Ailín Horgan. Bil Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Braeden Ghee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballylusk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rahans FC the free kick. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Bera McJohn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballylusk and the Rahans FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bradaigh Gollogley struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Boethis Cooney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballylusk. Baolach Horgan was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Rahans FC's Baolach Horgan got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Bradaigh Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ballylusk players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rahans FC.
