Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Donn Gough kicked off to start the match. Philib McJon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baoithin McJohnny's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Donn Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denny Deans charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denny Deans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ballytrasna AFC booed when Barnadarrig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denny Deans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ballytrasna AFC's Iarla Rutherford got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Ballytrasna AFC's Iarla Rutherford dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Ballytrasna AFC's Iarla Rutherford sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hayes Sheridan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15thth minute of the game Donn Gough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballytrasna AFC's Philib McJon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hayes Sheridan made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Iarla Rutherford sent off a good shot on target. Hayes Sheridan was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Rorey Willson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rorey Willson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Donn Gough, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ballytrasna AFC's Philib McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donn Gough in the 24th minute of play. Philib McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donn Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, Ballytrasna AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bhrighde McJohn to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Baoithin McJohnny had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philib McJon. Ballytrasna AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baoithin McJohnny was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Donn Gough, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Philib McJon was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Ballytrasna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Torin Dempsey. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ballytrasna AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donn Gough was slow to take the kick. During this time Barnadarrig's players had a chance to rest. 45 minutes into the game, Donn Gough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Philib McJon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rorey Willson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Philib McJon came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Barnadarrig's Baoithin McJohnny. But to his dismay, Baoithin McJohnny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After having played for 56 minutes, Denny Deans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnadarrig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denny Deans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ballytrasna AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Caoilte Ryan hit a great ball. Denny Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Philib McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Donn Gough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shea McFrancise blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philib McJon having to make a save. Caoilte Ryan's late challenge caught a Barnadarrig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caoilte Ryan helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Ballytrasna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Caoilte Ryan. Baoithin McJohnny's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Philib McJon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 73rd minute Reilley Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philib McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donn Gough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baoithin McJohnny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Philib McJon made a huge save. Barnadarrig's Hayes Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rorey Willson in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Iarla Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayes Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donn Gough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philib McJon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Reilley Hutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Philib McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baoithin McJohnny got free with Philib McJon in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donn Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
