Coolcullen Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Branson Hunt scored to the left of an out of position Breasal McPaul, making the score, 1-0. Pauric McNamee kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bairee Gallagher during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Easky got a freekick which was hit by Bairee Gallagher. Bola Delaney struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Fachtna Coyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coolcullen Utd. Coolcullen Utd's Breasal McPaul proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Coolcullen Utd from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Coolcullen Utd's Críostóir McVictor got a free kick in the 18th minute. Breasal McPaul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tipraite Cronin hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Coolcullen Utd's goalkeeper Breasal McPaul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Branson Hunt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bairee Gallagher in the 26th minute of play forced Coolcullen Utd's goalkeeper Breasal McPaul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Branson Hunt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Breasal McPaul. The goal made the score 2-1. With a little luck, Coolcullen Utd's Breasal McPaul got control of the ball when Bairee Gallagher tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Bairee Gallagher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Breasal McPaul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bola Delaney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Breasal McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Jameson in the 51st minute of the match. Coolcullen Utd's Breasal McPaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shea McFrank in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Coolcullen Utd getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tipraite Cronin hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Todd Jameson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breasal McPaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Coolcullen Utd defense, Shea McFrank kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Breasal McPaul. The Coolcullen Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Breasal McPaul should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Easky booed when Coolcullen Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tipraite Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Branson Hunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breasal McPaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Shea McFrank left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Easky fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 85th minute, Bret Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Fachtna Coyle managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Coolcullen Utd's Bola Delaney fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 90th match minute, Coolcullen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daithi Cooney to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Easky were the better team. Easky's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
