Byrne McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scartaglin's Reilly McLiam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barra Molloy in the 8th minute of play. Reilly McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Byrne McIan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enda Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bree McWill got free with Brazil Barrett in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Barra Molloy notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Scartaglin's Reilly McLiam. Reilly McLiam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Douglas Walker took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Brazil Barrett to make any attempt to save it. Brazil Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Walker in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Scartaglin's Bree McWill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brazil Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Bree McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ardán Myler's late challenge caught a Scartaglin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ardán Myler helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Lissacresig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardán Myler to maneuver through the defense. Bree McWill's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 50thth minute, Brazil Barrett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bohannon Duggan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Scartaglin's Bohannon Duggan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Brazil Barrett in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dawayne Colwell hit a great ball. Scartaglin's Reilly McLiam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Scartaglin from getting a goal against them. Scartaglin's Bree McWill got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brazil Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Walker in the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Scartaglin had won after a very even match.
