Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kealan Grant kicked off to start the match. Kealan Grant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 minutes, Nolen Keegan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crookstown and the Ballybrew players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Ballybrew a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raymond Ramsey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Crookstown's Bran Quinnless. 0-1. Brant Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnaby Caffey having to interfere. Danann Duggan struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Barnaby Caffey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crookstown. Brant Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Barnaby Caffey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Finnigan Ramsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ballybrew booed when Crookstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danann Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Danann Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Finnigan Ramsey took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bran Quinnless. Bran Quinnless dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Finnigan Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Bran Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Ballybrew got a freekick which was hit by Bran Beckett. Barnaby Caffey came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Crookstown's Brant Rogers. But to his dismay, Brant Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 37th minute, Ballybrew's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brant Rogers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 41st minute, Crookstown's Royan Branson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Royan Branson to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Ballybrew defense, Royan Branson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barnaby Caffey. The Ballybrew fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barnaby Caffey should have stopped the shot. Bran Quinnless made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Kealan Grant sent off a good shot on target. Finnigan Ramsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bran Quinnless having to interfere. Ballybrew's Bran Beckett shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bran Quinnless but with some difficulty. When Ballybrew's Brandon McFrank in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crookstown's goalie prevented a goal. Royan Branson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barnaby Caffey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Barnaby Caffey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brant Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Barnaby Caffey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brant Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ballybrew's Barnaby Caffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berry Morrison in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Crookstown had played much better football throughout.
