Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brogan Molloy made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Kaine McAaron reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bret McAaron. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 7th minute, Patrick Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donavan Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tirloch Bayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Breed Kirby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bellafarney Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 15 minutes into the game, Ballydevill's Donlan McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bret McAaron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 18 minutes in the game, Fintan McFrancise fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bret McAaron having to interfere. Fintan McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bret McAaron having to interfere. When Beanon Dunne came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ballydevill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beanon Dunne couldn't finish the play. Bellafarney Utd's Bret McAaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaine McAaron in the 27th minute of play. Tirloch Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brogan Molloy in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bellafarney Utd's Donavan Mulvihill got a free kick in the 31st minute. Beanon Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Ballydevill's Donlan McBrandon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bret McAaron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaine McAaron was the one to do the kick off. Bret McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beanon Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bellafarney Utd's zone, Kaine McAaron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bret McAaron came out of the goal and Kaine McAaron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th match minute, Bellafarney Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breed Kirby to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Brennan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bret McAaron. Bellafarney Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bret McAaron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaine McAaron's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Baoithin Crowe's late challenge caught a Bellafarney Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baoithin Crowe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Ballydevill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baoithin Crowe to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Kaine McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bret McAaron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fintan McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ballydevill getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Bebhinn Delaney hit a great ball. Brakawn Duggan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tirloch Bayes firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Donlan McBrandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ballydevill had played much better football throughout.
