Gweedore's Dónal McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donncha Molloy in the 8th minute of play. Dónal McPhilip came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Carrigdangan's Donncha Molloy. But to his dismay, Donncha Molloy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnold McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gweedore's Raymond Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dónal McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donncha Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernard McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harvey McDecland in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Carrigdangan's Arnold McSteve got a free kick in the 26th minute. Carrigdangan's Bernard McPeter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Carrigdangan from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Carrigdangan's zone, Raymond Coyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard McPeter came out of the goal and Raymond Coyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Raymond Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gweedore's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard McPeter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carrigdangan's Bernard McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey McDecland in the 56th minute of play. Blair McCollion kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 57 minutes, Harvey McDecland made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carrigdangan's Bernard McPeter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernard McPeter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Carrigdangan getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Arnold McSteve hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Coyle in the 79th minute of play forced Carrigdangan's goalkeeper Bernard McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carrigdangan! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Gweedore. Trevor McAlphie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernard McPeter. 2-1. Raymond Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bernard McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes in the game, Begley Myler fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dónal McPhilip having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harvey McDecland in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dónal McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Begley Myler, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
