Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the game, Carson McWill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bressail McFrank. Carson McWill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Barhan Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 played minutes Northgrove FC got a freekick which was hit by Baoithin Costello. Northgrove FC's Pearse Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phelim Deery in the 12th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Gordan Perth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northgrove FC and the Upperchurch players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gordan Perth kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Northgrove FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phelim Deery came free, but Pearse Mullan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Upperchurch booed when Northgrove FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordan Perth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berchan Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearse Mullan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carson McWill in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bressail McFrank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carson McWill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Rollan Tracy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Berchan Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pearse Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bressail McFrank was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Carson McWill capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carson McWill really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Donell Beckett's late challenge caught a Northgrove FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bressail McFrank was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
