Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brogan Molloy kicked off to start the match. Cathal Dillon lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 9 minutes into the game, Harvey McDecland recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bret McAaron. Harvey McDecland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The supporters of Bellafarney Utd booed when Gweedore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Banbhan Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Gweedore got a freekick which was hit by Barr Quinnless. In the 22nd minute, Barr Quinnless hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gweedore's Dónal McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brakawn Duggan in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harvey McDecland in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bret McAaron saved Bellafarney Utd from getting behind. Brakawn Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Donavan Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dónal McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Banbhan Jameson hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, Gweedore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brefni Walker to maneuver through the defense. Irwin O'Brien, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bret McAaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harvey McDecland in the 44th minute of the match. Harvey McDecland struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Bret McAaron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gweedore.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harvey McDecland to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donavan Mulvihill during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Donavan Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Trevor McAlphie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gweedore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bellafarney Utd the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gweedore's Trevor McAlphie got a free kick in the 56th minute. Raymond Coyle's late challenge caught a Bellafarney Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raymond Coyle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Gweedore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Coyle to maneuver through the defense. Dónal McPhilip made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brakawn Duggan in the 61st minute. Raymond Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bret McAaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Coyle in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Bellafarney Utd getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Breed Kirby hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bellafarney Utd's zone, Harvey McDecland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bret McAaron came out of the goal and Harvey McDecland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bret McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harvey McDecland, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Raymond Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gweedore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bellafarney Utd's Bret McAaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey McDecland in the 84th minute of play. If Harvey McDecland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90thth minute of the game Harvey McDecland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bellafarney Utd's Bret McAaron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raymond Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bret McAaron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Gweedore's Harvey McDecland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bret McAaron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raymond Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Bret McAaron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Gweedore players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
