Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) If Brant Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brant Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tevis McCready in the 10th minute of play. Bracken Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tevis McCready in the 11th minute of the match. Flannery McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Baoithin Prunty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gehan McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donlan McNamara during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 25 minutes into the game, one of Shannagh Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bracken Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boethis Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Glengesh's Gehan McNamara got control of the ball when Brant Silke tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tevis McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bracken Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boethis Keegan in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute Shannagh Utd were awarded a corner. Darby John went to the cornerflag to take it. Gehan McNamara was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Briain McGlenn. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baoithin Prunty made a kick off. Tevis McCready could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Bracken Brennan made a huge save. Briain McGlenn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gehan McNamara. Glengesh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Glengesh booed when Shannagh Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrigan McOliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baoithin Prunty during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Glengesh's Boethis Keegan got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Harry Hunt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shannagh Utd and the Glengesh players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Glengesh booed when Shannagh Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berk Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tevis McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Shannagh Utd from getting a goal against them. Tevis McCreadys short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Bracken Brennan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bracken Brennan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Bracken Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boethis Keegan in the 95th minute of the match. Glengesh's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
