Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfred McWill started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kieran Ryan got free with Bairrionn Holt in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Kilteen AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Hayes Rogers hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Eoin Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Kieran Ryan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bairrionn Holt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bairrionn Holt was a little too slow when Lewis McJon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 38thth minute of the game Scothine Mullan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kilteen AFC's Caoilte McAlphie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfred McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Caoilte McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred McWill in the 45th minute of play forced Kilteen AFC's goalkeeper Caoilte McAlphie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lewis McJon to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Lewis McJon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilteen AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lewis McJon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfred McWill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kieran Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Knockgaffon's Caoilte McAlphie threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfred McWill, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 68th minute, Alfred McWill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kieran Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairrionn Holt having to interfere. In the 76th minute Kieran Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bairrionn Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Scothine Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Kilteen AFC's Lewis McJon made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bairrionn Holt was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Knockgaffon getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Alfred McWill hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Knockgaffon's Scothine Mullan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caoilte McAlphie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 96 minutes, Kieran Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilteen AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kieran Ryan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knockgaffon's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
