Gehan McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Kilteen AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Lorcan Willson hit a great ball. If Tevis McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilteen AFC's goalkeeper Caoilte McAlphie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Berach Harkin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glengesh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilteen AFC the free kick. Berach Harkin kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Kilteen AFC's Kieran Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boethis Keegan was the one to do the kick off. When Kieran Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Kilteen AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kieran Ryan couldn't finish the play.
