Begg McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beineon Colwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Beineon Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Beineon Colwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Kilsallagh booed when Richardstown Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cormac Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball.

After some careless play in the Kilsallagh defense, Derrick McDonald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Batt McGlenn. After a rather tough play, Kilsallagh's Reamann Tracy got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Cormac Benson fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Richardstown Utd's protests and gave Cormac Benson a yellow card for diving instead. Kilsallagh's Beineon Colwell got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ennis Beckett struck a weak shot in the 79th minute.
