Ballynagall's Suibhne Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boethis Keegan in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gearalt Palmer in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gehan McNamara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Savic in the 18th minute of play forced Ballynagall's goalkeeper Suibhne Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suibhne Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tevis McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Glengesh's zone, Gearalt Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gehan McNamara came out of the goal and Gearalt Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the game, Glengesh's Ailín Ramsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Suibhne Lavine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Suibhne Lavine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tevis McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boroimhe Deans during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ballynagall getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Boroimhe Deans hit a great ball. Alex Tracy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Suibhne Lavine having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Ballynagall's goal looked a bit too open when Tevis McCready came free, but Suibhne Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Savic's late challenge caught a Ballynagall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Savic helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Glengesh's Samuel Savic got a free kick in the 36th minute. Boethis Keegan kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The wind increased when Boethis Keegan made the kick off in the second half. When Tevis McCready fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glengesh's protests and gave Tevis McCready a yellow card for diving instead. Tevis McCready hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Suibhne Matthews notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Glengesh's Gehan McNamara. Gehan McNamara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Glengesh booed when Ballynagall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torrey McAaron didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Suibhne Matthews managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballynagall's supporters rose to their feet, but Suibhne Matthews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gehan McNamara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Suibhne Matthews scored 2-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gehan McNamara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute Suibhne Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gehan McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
