Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bow Deans to make the kick off. Rorey Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Caoilte McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinny Martyn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lewis McJon's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Kilteen AFC's Caoilte McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paud McTommy in the 76th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Daniel McBrand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinny Martyn. Pallasgreen AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel McBrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Kilteen AFC's Ailín McSteven got a free kick in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kilteen AFC had won after a very even match.
