The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rowe Keegan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ailín Ramsey went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Boethis Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tevis McCready who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Rowe Keegan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pottore's Torrey Keegan got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Tevis McCready recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rowe Keegan. Tevis McCready showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Rowe Keegan came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Glengesh's Boethis Keegan. But to his dismay, Boethis Keegan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Samuel Savic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rowe Keegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fionntán Robinson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Tevis McCready fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowe Keegan having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Glengesh's Samuel Savic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rowe Keegan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a rather tough play, Pottore's Terence Beckett got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Glengesh's Alex Tracy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tevis McCready could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Rowe Keegan made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Glengesh's Tevis McCready in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pottore's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Harry Hamilton got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rowe Keegan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boethis Keegan in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute Boethis Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowe Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rowe Keegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boethis Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendanus Dimson in the 67th minute of play forced Glengesh's goalkeeper Gehan McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, Glengesh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Savic to maneuver through the defense. Harry Hamilton 's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Gehan McNamara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Boethis Keegan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowe Keegan was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Pottore's Donavin Harkin got a free kick in the 79th minute. Rowe Keegan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boethis Keegan in the 82nd minute of the match. Donavin Harkin's late challenge caught a Glengesh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donavin Harkin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Donavin Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boethis Keegan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rowe Keegan having to make a save. Rowe Keegan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boethis Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Tevis McCready struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rowe Keegan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glengesh. Boethis Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowe Keegan having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pottore players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glengesh.
