Bracken Brennan came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kilsallagh's Beineon Colwell. But to his dismay, Beineon Colwell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Beineon Colwell struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Bracken Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilsallagh. Torna Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brefni Hughes during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Shannagh Utd getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Brefni Hughes hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Shannagh Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Torna Hamilton came free, but Bracken Brennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beineon Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bracken Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brefni Hughes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 18 minutes had been played. The supporters of Kilsallagh booed when Shannagh Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brefni Hughes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beineon Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bracken Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Kilsallagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennis Beckett to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Brenan McSteven made a precise shot to the right of Bracken Brennan . Shannagh Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 38thth minute of the game Torna Hamilton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bracken Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beineon Colwell in the 39th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torna Hamilton in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bracken Brennan saved Shannagh Utd from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Torna Hamilton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bracken Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bracken Brennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beineon Colwell went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Kilsallagh were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Torna Hamilton made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Beineon Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilsallagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beineon Colwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Kilsallagh's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Hunt came free, but Batt McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kilsallagh's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Darby John was slow to take the kick. During this time Shannagh Utd's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Shannagh Utd's Harry Hunt to fire away a dangerous shot which Batt McGlenn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Kilsallagh's Beineon Colwell got a free kick in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Baoithin Prunty notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Kilsallagh's Batt McGlenn. Batt McGlenn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Shannagh Utd from getting a goal against them. Branson Scully hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Brant Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batt McGlenn having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match Torna Hamilton climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Bracken Brennan . Torna Hamilton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Bracken Brennan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beineon Colwell got free with Bracken Brennan in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Shannagh Utd's goalkeeper Bracken Brennan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torna Hamilton. Bracken Brennan was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Torna Hamilton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torna Hamilton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Bracken Brennan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kilsallagh's Torna Hamilton shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-6 in the ordered_time% minute. Kilsallagh's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
