Aaron Molloy was slow to take the kick. During this time Kilteen AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Aaron Molloy almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan did a great save. When Kieran Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Kilteen AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kieran Ryan couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baoithin Prunty in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caoilte McAlphie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Hayes Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brefni Hughes charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brefni Hughes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Shannagh Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kieran Ryan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kieran Ryan was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes, Kieran Ryan made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Kieran Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cormac Brennan hit a great ball. If Baoithin Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brant Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Caoilte McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Shannagh Utd booed when Kilteen AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cormac Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breannain Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
