Cashleen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearson McAlphie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Tipraite Mullan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gates's Kevis Gillmour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 19 in the game by Shamus McDonald from a close distance when the talented Kevis Gillmour managed to make a qualified save. Gates's players were relieved. Tipraite Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patton Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boynton Savic having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Gates got a freekick which was hit by Bearach Silke. A collision led to Gates getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Patton Crowe hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tipraite Mullan in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevis Gillmour prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Tipraite Mullan in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Kevis Gillmour was a little too slow when Tipraite Mullan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tipraite Mullan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tipraite Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kevis Gillmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tipraite Mullan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevis Gillmour was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 67th minute Lewy Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevis Gillmour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75thth minute of the game Tipraite Mullan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gates's Kevis Gillmour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevis Gillmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearson McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Pearson McAlphie notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Gates's Kevis Gillmour. Kevis Gillmour was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tipraite Mullan got in the 98th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kevis Gillmour handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Cashleen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
