Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baolach Frankson kicked off to start the match. When Keefe Hunt fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Donaghmore's protests and gave Keefe Hunt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Donaghmore getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Keefe Hunt hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Donaghmore's zone, Rodolfo Valerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hayes McLiam came out of the goal and Rodolfo Valerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bairre McNamara was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Baolach Frankson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baolach Frankson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 16th minute, Rodolfo Valerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pat Willson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Desert Roses™'s Bairre McNamara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Desert Roses™ from getting a goal against them. In the 26thth minute of the game Louie Savic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Donaghmore's Hayes McLiam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Louie Savic came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Desert Roses™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louie Savic couldn't finish the play. Bairre McNamara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Breslin McPhilip in the 30th minute. Bairre McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert McBjarton, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Louie Savic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hayes McLiam was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louie Savic in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hayes McLiam saved Donaghmore from getting behind. Ailill Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hayes McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert McBjarton's late challenge caught a Desert Roses™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilbert McBjarton helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Louie Savic was the one to do the kick off. Louie Savic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bairre McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keefe Hunt in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Desert Roses™'s goal looked a bit too open when Baolach Frankson came free, but Bairre McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Louie Savic during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Donaghmore booed when Desert Roses™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louie Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bairre McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breslin McPhilip, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Bairre McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baolach Frankson in the 70th minute of play. Rodolfo Valerio charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Valerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Rodolfo Valerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hayes McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Valerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desert Roses™'s Bairre McNamara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert McBjarton in the 75th minute of play. Louie Savic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute Breslin McPhilip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bairre McNamara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Donaghmore's goalkeeper Hayes McLiam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Louie Savic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Louie Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayes McLiam having to interfere. Desert Roses™ were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
