Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) Bealtaine Cronin made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Birr Todd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás McBjarton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Dermod Morrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cloonfinnaun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 11th match minute, Aharney Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hickey Hutton to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes, Cloonfinnaun's Biddy McLaughlin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomás McBjarton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cloonfinnaun reached it. Dermod Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás McBjarton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dermod Morrison in the 36th minute of play forced Aharney Utd's goalkeeper Tomás McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Dermod Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás McBjarton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birr Todd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás McBjarton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Bealtaine Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradner Rogers having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After recieving a nice pass, Aharney Utd's Corey Caffey tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tomás McBjarton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dermod Morrison in the 59th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Dermod Morrison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aharney Utd's Tomás McBjarton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Birr Todd came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cloonfinnaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birr Todd couldn't finish the play. Dermod Morrison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Birr Todd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aharney Utd's Tomás McBjarton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69 played minutes Aharney Utd got a freekick which was hit by Tady Silke. Dermod Morrison in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomás McBjarton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Birr Todd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás McBjarton having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Aharney Utd's goalkeeper Tomás McBjarton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dermod Morrison. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Dermod Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonfinnaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Dermod Morrison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás McBjarton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Dermod Morrison ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás McBjarton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 92nd minute, Ryley Rogers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cloonfinnaun's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
