Spectators: 6762 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Birr Todd started the match with the kick off. In the 7th match minute, Boleymount Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herich Brennan to maneuver through the defense. Birr Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Breen Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Boleymount Utd getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Brin McIan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryley Rogers in the 15th minute of play forced Boleymount Utd's goalkeeper Breen Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gearroid Lavine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Bradner Rogers made a huge save. 20 minutes into the game, Gearroid Lavine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bradner Rogers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boleymount Utd's Breen Harkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birr Todd in the 25th minute of play. Breen Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dermod Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birr Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Breen Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Birr Todd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonfinnaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Birr Todd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breen Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, Cloonfinnaun's Dermod Morrison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Breen Harkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dermod Morrison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breen Harkin having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Dermod Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloonfinnaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Dermod Morrison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breen Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shey McBrand to strike the kick off in the second half. Breen Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryley Rogers in the 51st minute of the match. Breen Harkin came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Cloonfinnaun's Ravan Bayes. But to his dismay, Ravan Bayes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Herich Brennan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Dermod Morrison struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Breen Harkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloonfinnaun. Herich Brennan hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Gearroid Lavine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Boleymount Utd booed when Cloonfinnaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryley Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Daithi Matthews led 80 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Cloonfinnaun's Bradner Rogers became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-4. Breen Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birr Todd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Birr Todd in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breen Harkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Boleymount Utd getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cahir Byrne hit a great ball. Cloonfinnaun's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
