The referee ignored Annaghbrack FC's protests and gave Bearchan Hunt a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Aharney Utd defense, Bearchan Hunt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás McBjarton. The Aharney Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás McBjarton should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Bearchan Hunt made a precise shot to the right of Tomás McBjarton.
