Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Donaghmore's Baolach Frankson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ballybane's attack was well implemented in the 4th minute, but when Bevan Kirby was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Bren Gollogley charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bren Gollogley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the game, one of Ballybane:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Donaghmore. Colm Dempsey stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bearnard Holt. 1-0. Hayes McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bevan Kirby in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Baolach Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donaghmore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baolach Frankson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22nd play minutes Baolach Frankson shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Bearnard Holt and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Babe McTom in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hayes McLiam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bevan Kirby came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ballybane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bevan Kirby couldn't finish the play. Bren Gollogley hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 34 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Donaghmore's Baolach Frankson fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ballybane's Bearnard Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baolach Frankson in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Lewis Cassin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hayes McLiam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brakawn McGlenn kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Baolach Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bearnard Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bevan Kirby to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brakawn McGlenn during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Ballybane got a freekick which was hit by Brakawn McGlenn. Breslin McPhilip struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Bearnard Holt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donaghmore. Barra McGlynn hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Baolach Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Donaghmore booed when Ballybane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brakawn McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bearnard Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breslin McPhilip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baolach Frankson struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Bearnard Holt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donaghmore. Bevan Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayes McLiam having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Donaghmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keefe Hunt to maneuver through the defense. Ballybane's Lewis Cassin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Donaghmore. Babe McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayes McLiam having to interfere. If Babe McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ballybane booed when Donaghmore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keefe Hunt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raonall McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Donaghmore's goalkeeper Hayes McLiam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Babe McTom. Babe McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hayes McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
