Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Braydon Frankson made the kick off which started today's match. Gates's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Rannal McGlenn scored to the left of an out of position Kevis Gillmour, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gates's zone, Braydon Frankson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevis Gillmour came out of the goal and Braydon Frankson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rannal McGlenn struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Kevis Gillmour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilnabooley. Gates's Patton Crowe got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevis Gillmour made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Rannal McGlenn sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 44 minutes, Patton Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gates's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patton Crowe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braydon Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patton Crowe to strike the kick off in the second half. Gates's Heremon Dimson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Kevis Gillmour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rannal McGlenn, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rannal McGlenn in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevis Gillmour saved Gates from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kilnabooley's Adamnan McJon got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Kilnabooley getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Braydon Frankson hit a great ball. Gates's Kevis Gillmour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braydon Frankson in the 74th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Gates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearach McPhil to maneuver through the defense. Braydon Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Heremon Dimson in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Berry Quinnless, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kilnabooley's Berry Quinnless proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Kilnabooley from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rannal McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilnabooley's supporters rose to their feet, but Rannal McGlenn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevis Gillmour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kilnabooley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gates had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
