Herygh Hunt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bradaigh Tierney received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Berry Quinnless came out and tried to block the shot, but Bradaigh Tierney slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 9th minute. Bradaigh Tierney might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Berry Quinnless. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bradaigh Tierney ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Kilnabooley's zone, Bradaigh Tierney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berry Quinnless came out of the goal and Bradaigh Tierney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradaigh Tierney in the 23rd minute of play forced Kilnabooley's goalkeeper Berry Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cian McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herygh Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braydon Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Berry Quinnless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradaigh Tierney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Herygh Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute of the match Baiscend McBrandon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Berry Quinnless showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bradaigh Tierney struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Berry Quinnless didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Effickmore Utd. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herygh Willson in the 44th minute of play forced Effickmore Utd's goalkeeper Herygh Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Rannal McGlenn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilnabooley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Herygh Hunt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Braydon Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Herygh Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rannal McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Effickmore Utd getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bradley Willson hit a great ball. Herygh Hunt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Braydon Frankson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 65 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braydon Frankson in the 71st minute of play forced Effickmore Utd's goalkeeper Herygh Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Bourns Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kilnabooley's Berry Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bourns Morrison in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Effickmore Utd's Bradaigh Tierney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Berry Quinnless narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Kilnabooley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rannal McGlenn to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Kilnabooley defense, Bradaigh Tierney kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berry Quinnless. The Kilnabooley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berry Quinnless should have stopped the shot. Rannal McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Herygh Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bradley Willson fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Effickmore Utd's protests and gave Bradley Willson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Effickmore Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Willson to maneuver through the defense. Kilnabooley's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
