Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Shey McBrand started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Gearroid Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boleymount Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Gearroid Lavine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bard Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Boleymount Utd booed when Gattabaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Logan Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Boleymount Utd's goalkeeper Breen Harkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donan McTom. Gattabaun's Logan Caffrey got his second yellow card of the match in the 22nd minute. The referee ordered Logan Caffrey off the ground. After 22 played minutes Gattabaun got a freekick which was hit by Logan Caffrey. If Gearroid Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breen Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burke McCready in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Boleymount Utd got a freekick which was hit by Abban McCollion. Shey McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A hard shot 34 in the game by Donan McTom from a close distance when the talented Breen Harkin managed to make a qualified save. Boleymount Utd's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the match, Boleymount Utd's goalkeeper Breen Harkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donan McTom. Donan McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Breen Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bard Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shey McBrand in the 41st minute of play. Breen Harkin made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Donan McTom sent off a good shot on target. Abban McCollion hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shey McBrand in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bard Mullan saved Gattabaun from getting behind.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donan McTom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Shey McBrand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bard Mullan. That made the score 0-1 in the 60 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Boleymount Utd's zone, Donan McTom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breen Harkin came out of the goal and Donan McTom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bard Mullan came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Boleymount Utd's Gearroid Lavine. But to his dismay, Gearroid Lavine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Babe Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donan McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breen Harkin having to interfere. Dennis McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brin McIan's late challenge caught a Gattabaun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brin McIan helped the player get up and apologised. Brin McIan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gearroid Lavine got free with Bard Mullan in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boleymount Utd's Breen Harkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donan McTom in the 83rd minute of play. Burke McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Boleymount Utd's zone, Babe Kelly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breen Harkin came out of the goal and Babe Kelly tried to chip the ball over his head. Gattabaun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boleymount Utd the free kick. Donan McTom hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When Shey McBrand came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Boleymount Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shey McBrand couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Gattabaun lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
