Clonagooden's Flannery Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamnan Dimson in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clonagooden's Phelan Todd got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 35th minute, Scot Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flannery Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scot Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adamnan Dimson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barhan Duggan during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caherpeak AFC booed when Clonagooden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barhan Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flannery Ghee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamnan Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
