When Roland McDonald came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Bellanaboy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland McDonald couldn't finish the play. 6 minutes into the match, Clonagooden's goal looked a bit too open when Baine Johnson came free, but Flannery Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Roland McDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baine Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bevan Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breccan Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Bellanaboy's zone, Breccan Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bevan Robinson came out of the goal and Breccan Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Phelan Todd's late challenge caught a Bellanaboy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phelan Todd helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Clonagooden got a freekick which was hit by Phelan Todd. Roland McDonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Flannery Ghee made a huge save. Breccan Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flannery Ghee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baine Johnson's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. If Baine Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Clonagooden's Phelan Todd got a free kick in the 39th minute. Roland McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flannery Ghee having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Breccan Palmer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Flannery McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Clonagooden's Phelan Todd got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute Roland McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flannery Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bevan Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breccan Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland McDonald in the 66th minute of play forced Clonagooden's goalkeeper Flannery Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Baine Johnson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flannery Ghee was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Baine Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bealtaine Coyle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Bevan Robinson made a huge save. Breccan Palmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bevan Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 81 minutes, Flannery McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bellanaboy and the Clonagooden players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Flannery McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland McDonald in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flannery Ghee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Roland McDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland McDonald in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flannery Ghee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flannery Ghee came out of the goal and Benen McWillie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Beanon McBrand fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clonagooden's protests and gave Beanon McBrand a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Beanon McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clonagooden succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bellanaboy had controlled the match.
