After 8 played minutes Rossduff AFC got a freekick which was hit by Breas McJohn. Teris Hutton's late challenge caught a Rossduff AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teris Hutton helped the player get up and apologised. Teris Hutton hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Bartel Harkin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Braddon Kelly made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Russ McDecland sent off a good shot on target. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brasil McPhil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adamnan Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Braddon Kelly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fachtna Ferguson's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Rossduff AFC's Russ McDecland got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adamnan Dimson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brasil McPhil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Russ McDecland in the 70th minute of play forced Caherpeak AFC's goalkeeper Braddon Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adamnan Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Scot Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caherpeak AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scot Morrison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brasil McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamnan Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tormaigh O'Brien's late challenge caught a Caherpeak AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 80thth minute of the game Adamnan Dimson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rossduff AFC's Brasil McPhil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tormaigh O'Brien kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Russ McDecland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Braddon Kelly was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Brasil McPhil didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Caherpeak AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rossduff AFC.
