Isaac Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Flannery Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Clonagooden's Phelan Todd got a free kick in the 14th minute. Flannery Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conor McPhil in the 16th minute of play. If Conor McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Breccan Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Justin Frankson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bealtaine Coyle came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Clonagooden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bealtaine Coyle couldn't finish the play. Flannery Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Callaghan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Callaghan in the 46th minute of play forced Clonagooden's goalkeeper Flannery Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Breccan Palmer made the kick off in the second half. Bealtaine Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Justin Frankson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breccan Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Clonagooden:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glasson:s goal. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Glasson. Blaire McPeter stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Flannery Ghee . 0-1. Conor McPhil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glasson's Justin Frankson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan Palmer in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Reilley Kelly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clonagooden the free kick. After 91 played minutes Glasson got a freekick which was hit by Reilley Kelly. The Glasson players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
