In the 14th match minute, Dublin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh Delaney to maneuver through the defense. Beamard Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence McLiam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rourke Myler was the one to do the kick off. Beamard Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence McLiam, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Falcarragh's Ravan Rogers got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ravan Rogers might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beamard Hamilton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ravan Rogers ran back to his position shaking his head. Beamard Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleary McAaron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doney McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Brickeen McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doney McSteve blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brickeen McNamee having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Falcarragh's Lawrence McLiam got a free kick in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Falcarragh's Cleary McAaron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beamard Hamilton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rourke Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beamard Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peadar Lester in the 80th minute of the match. Peadar Lester kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Doney McSteve left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dublin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fionntán McMichel during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Fionntán McMichel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geary Harkin fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 95th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. During the 96th minute of the match Fionntán McMichel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fionntán McMichel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 97 played minutes Falcarragh got a freekick which was hit by Fionntán McMichel. Despite being the better team, Falcarragh failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
