Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Shey McMichel kicked off to start the match. Leon Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artuir McLian in the 6th minute of play. Seoirse McTom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leon Colwell having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shey McMichel in the 13th minute of play forced Annfield's goalkeeper Auley McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paud Savic hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of Annfield booed when Loughshinny AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pearse McAaron didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Artuir McLian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leon Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seoirse McTom in the 19th minute of the match. Breadan Lavine might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Auley McJames. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breadan Lavine ran back to his position shaking his head. Auley McJames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shey McMichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Shey McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loughshinny AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shey McMichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Shey McMichel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Loughshinny AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pearse McAaron. Artuir McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Leon Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Shey McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loughshinny AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shey McMichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breadan Lavine succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 39th playminute. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Loughshinny AFC's goalkeeper Leon Colwell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Seoirse McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seoirse McTom to strike the kick off in the second half. Breadan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Auley McJames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Loughshinny AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Seoirse McTom came free, but Leon Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breadan Lavine struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Auley McJames didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loughshinny AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Shey McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loughshinny AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shey McMichel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Auley McJames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Colwell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artuir McLian in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute Seoirse McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breadan Lavine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes, Loughshinny AFC's Bernard McDonald shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Auley McJames came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loughshinny AFC reached it. The audience was convinced that Shey McMichel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Auley McJames was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Seoirse McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Leon Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Annfield's Cáirbre Callaghan got a free kick in the 81st minute. Breadan Lavine struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Auley McJames didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loughshinny AFC. After having played for 90 minutes, Breadan Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loughshinny AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breadan Lavine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Auley McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breadan Lavine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Roordan Tierney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Annfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loughshinny AFC the free kick. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Annfield! Annfield's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
