Baird Bayes got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Oliver McMichel handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Donn McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Achill FC's zone, Breandan Bayes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bren McJames came out of the goal and Breandan Bayes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baird Bayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Oliver McMichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Seafield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Achill FC were winning 0-1.
