Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tory Walker took the kick off in the first half of the match. Donleavy Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ McNamee having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Conan McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Briony Myler took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Russ McNamee. Lipstown FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Murrough's goal looked a bit too open when Baran Martyn came free, but Brannen Delaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Russ McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donn Dunne in the 12th minute of the match. If Baran Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baran Martyn in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brannen Delaney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donn Dunne was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Baran Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannen Delaney having to interfere. Donleavy Gough's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Russ McNamee skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Russ McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donn Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Glen O'Down ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brannen Delaney was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Conan McWilliam charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conan McWilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lipstown FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Conan McWilliam hit a great ball. Russ McNamee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donn Dunne in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Lipstown FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donn Dunne made a kick off. Murrough's Donleavy Gough got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donn Dunne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Russ McNamee having to make a save. Baran Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murrough's Donn Dunne got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Donleavy Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murrough's supporters rose to their feet, but Donleavy Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ McNamee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Lipstown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donn Dunne came free, but Russ McNamee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Murrough's Brannen Delaney got control of the ball when Baran Martyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tory Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Brannen Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donleavy Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Healey Moran kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Donn Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Russ McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
