Breandan Bayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ McNamee having to interfere. The supporters of Seafield booed when Lipstown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen O'Down didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes, Pierson Dempsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lipstown FC and the Seafield players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lipstown FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pierson Dempsey hit a great ball. Seafield's Breandan Bayes got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tory Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver McMichel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lipstown FC's Gilian Deery got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 22 minutes, Bealtaine Moran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seafield and the Lipstown FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Seafield's Bealtaine Moran got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Lipstown FC's Russ McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron McAlphie in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute Aron McAlphie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russ McNamee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron McAlphie in the 32nd minute of play. When Bowen McJohnny fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seafield's protests and gave Bowen McJohnny a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Seafield getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bowen McJohnny hit a great ball. With a little luck, Lipstown FC's Russ McNamee got control of the ball when Breandan Bayes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pierson Dempsey kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Breandan Bayes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Russ McNamee. That made the score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aron McAlphie to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Breandan Bayes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seafield's supporters rose to their feet, but Breandan Bayes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ McNamee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baran Martyn got free with Oliver McMichel in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th match minute, Seafield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bealtaine Moran to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lipstown FC's zone, Aron McAlphie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ McNamee came out of the goal and Aron McAlphie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Russ McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breandan Bayes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Aron McAlphie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Russ McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Russ McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breandan Bayes in the 72nd minute of the match. Lipstown FC's Russ McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron McAlphie in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Aron McAlphie made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lipstown FC's Russ McNamee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Breandan Bayes struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Russ McNamee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seafield. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron McAlphie in the 87th minute of play forced Lipstown FC's goalkeeper Russ McNamee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Russ McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron McAlphie in the 90th minute of the match. During the 92nd minute of the match Bealtaine Moran completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bealtaine Moran a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
