Bren McJames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baptist McAaron in the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Achill FC's Iarla Prunty got a free kick in the 6th minute. Shane McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bren McJames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Baptist McAaron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bren McJames was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Paud McNamee took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bren McJames. Achill FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gearalt McJohn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baptist McAaron in the 15th minute of play forced Achill FC's goalkeeper Bren McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Baptist McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bren McJames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gearalt McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bren McJames stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baptist McAaron's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Antaine Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donn McSteve in the 32nd minute of play. Bren McJames made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adamnan McWill in the 37th minute of play. Aban Hamilton lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ahimma AFC! The referee gave Achill FC a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dermot McBrandon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ahimma AFC's Antaine Byrne. 1-0.

Antaine Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baird Bayes in the 56th minute of play. Antaine Byrne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baird Bayes in the 60th minute of the match. Antaine Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baird Bayes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antaine Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donn McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Achill FC's zone, Gearalt McJohn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bren McJames came out of the goal and Gearalt McJohn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ahimma AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Paud McNamee hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Achill FC's Donn McSteve nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antaine Byrne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Donn McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes in the game, Gearalt McJohn fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bren McJames having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ahimma AFC's zone, Donn McSteve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antaine Byrne came out of the goal and Donn McSteve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes Ahimma AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baptist McAaron. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ahimma AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Achill FC.
