The supporters of Meens booed when Caltragh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babe Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Geralt McStephen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geralt McStephen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9thth minute of the game Brenda McDonald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meens's Bearchan McBjarton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Caltragh fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Caltragh's Brenda McDonald looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute, Meens's Derrick Molloy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Bivadas Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bearchan McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenda McDonald in the 24th minute of play forced Meens's goalkeeper Bearchan McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bivadas Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bivadas Frankson struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Bearchan McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caltragh. Bivadas Frankson succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Bivadas Frankson struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Bearchan McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caltragh. Caltragh's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bran McGlenn in the 40th minute. The corner led Caltragh's Bran McGlenn to fire away a dangerous shot which Bearchan McBjarton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 46th minute, Bivadas Frankson made a precise shot to the right of Bearchan McBjarton. Meens's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bivadas Frankson to make the kick off. Brenda McDonald struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Bearchan McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caltragh. Brenda McDonald blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bearchan McBjarton having to make a save. Bearchan McBjarton made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Brenda McDonald sent off a good shot on target. Derrick Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Caltragh's Daithi Myler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derrick Molloy in the 81st minute of play. Geralt McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bran McGlenn hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Meens fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caltragh were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
