Bolinglanna's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold McCollion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brak Beckett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Coolnareen AFC booed when Bolinglanna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Tevis Matthews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolinglanna and the Coolnareen AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Bolinglanna got a freekick which was hit by Tevis Matthews. If Duff Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Bolinglanna's goalkeeper Eoghan Kirby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duff Gillmour. After a rather tough play, Bolinglanna's Caoilte Deery got a free kick in the 30th minute. A collision led to Coolnareen AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Breen McBrandon hit a great ball. After 34 minutes, Duff Gillmour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coolnareen AFC and the Bolinglanna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Duff Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tevis Matthews hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Peter Brennan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brak Beckett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Brennan's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caoilte Deery to strike the kick off in the second half. Duff Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eoghan Kirby having to interfere. After 56 played minutes, Coolnareen AFC's Breanne Ferguson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eoghan Kirby came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coolnareen AFC reached it. Peter Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Brak Beckett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Bolinglanna's Harold McCollion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brak Beckett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Caoilte Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brady Coyle during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brak Beckett had great luck who in the 72ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Harold McCollion from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caoilte Deery got free with Brak Beckett in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Peter Brennan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brak Beckett. Peter Brennan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 90 minutes into the game, Patrick Gallagher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eoghan Kirby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bolinglanna were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Coolnareen AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
