Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Breed Tracy started the match with the kick off. Buach McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Brannon Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brannon Ferguson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Healey Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute of the match, Breed Tracy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Blathmac McCollion saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 9th minute, Healey Tracy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Healey Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Drumfergus getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Conleth Jameson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Healey Tracy in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brannon Ferguson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Drumfergus's Brannon Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buach McPaul in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, one of Ballydrenid Utd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballydrenid Utd. The goalkeeper, Blathmac McCollion, was totally fooled by Drumfergus's Patraic McNamee, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Drumfergus's Conleth Jameson pulled a muscle in his back after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rorry Kirby during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ballydrenid Utd's Rorry Kirby got a free kick in the 29th minute. Brannon Ferguson came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ballydrenid Utd's Buach McPaul. But to his dismay, Buach McPaul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 40 minutes into the match, Drumfergus's goal looked a bit too open when Healey Tracy came free, but Brannon Ferguson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samueil Murphy hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Brannon Ferguson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Healey Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Buach McPaul to make the kick off. Healey Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blanaid Palmer struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Blathmac McCollion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumfergus. In the 58th minute Blanaid Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmac McCollion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rannal Tierney kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Samueil Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ailill McGlynn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Healey Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Buach McPaul in the 68th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Brannon Ferguson kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Drumfergus's Brannon Ferguson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Drumfergus from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Blanaid Palmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drumfergus's supporters rose to their feet, but Blanaid Palmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blathmac McCollion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 77 minutes, Buach McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballydrenid Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Buach McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Blanaid Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Buach McPaul got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 92 played minutes Drumfergus got a freekick which was hit by Breed Tracy. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
